Made by J.B. Hirsch in the 1930s during the art-deco era, this figure is a colonial woman in a bonnet, curtsying and is titled "Pleased to Meet You". Made of French bronze (an alloy), Ivorine (a celluloid, used for the face) and stands atop a marble base.
There is some paint losses to the dress. There are small scratches in the marble base, but nothing huge nor does any of it detract from the overall look of this antique figure. Not an issue now, but there are 2 bolts you can tighten on the bottom if she starts to come loose. 8.5 inches tall x 9.5 diameter. Very heavy!!
