Pioneer (1972) 10 & (1973) 11 were NASA spacecraft that explored the outer solar system. They were the first spacecraft to fly by Jupiter, and Saturn and to cross the asteroid belt. The framed metal replica plaque was intended to show to beings of other galaxies when, where & by whom it was launched. On the back of the plaque are very interesting facts about it, including why the two figures were deliberately are not shown holding hands. Across the bottom of the plaque are the planets. It is in very good condition.
